Anatomy and Physiology I

Course Description

This course is designed for students who plan to enter careers that require extensive knowledge of human     anatomy and physiology. Focus will be centered upon the orientation and organization of the human body, the support and movement of the human body, regulation and maintenance of the human body,  and the integration and control systems of the human body. This course will include labs to physically demonstrate the mechanical principles.

 

Course Objectives

 

· To develop a solid foundation of
knowledge of human anatomy and
physiology

· To introduce a variety of health related occupations

· To increase overall problem solving skills, including the ability to define problems, gather and evaluate
information, and develop solutions

· To increase communication skills

· To identify, find, and use appropriate
resources

· To become resourceful independent learners
